After just a little over 3 years my heart and soul are calling me to my next adventure!
I am leaving Costa Rica and heading back to Canada.
Why?
There is a lot of bewilderment around leaving paradise and heading back to Canada – so close to winter too!
This is going to be one of the most important and exciting adventures I will ever embark on as I return to Canada and I am SO excited I can hardly contain myself…but first…there is an incredible metaphor about life in this post so keep reading por favor…
My time in Costa Rica has been a wild ride, literally and figuratively! I am super excited for my next adventure coming back to where it all began 57 years ago!
August 5th, 2021 was the day I left all my belongings In someone else’s hand – decades worth of material possessions – and left with 4 suitcases and a backpack.
(I don’t consider my kids as my belongings, and they had their own life adventures staying back in Canada).
I return with those same 4 suitcases, but with different belongs in them.
Such a metaphor for life really, isn’t it?
I left Canada for Costa Rica as a person 3 years younger, with an incredible vision for my next phase in life.
That vision was one of adventure, wonderment, excitement, trepidation, fear, hopefulness and personal growth (that happens whether we like it or not!).
I got all of that and then some. Ugh. Yikes. Yippee.
After my epic wellness retreat that I led In Costa Rica in June, I returned to Canada for a visit and client work and didn’t feel that pull to go back to Costa Rica, so I stayed for 3 months.
I felt there was something BIG about to happen that would change my world. I felt lost and confused to be honest, by this not knowing.
Life lesson – Sometimes we need to lose ourselves so we can find ourselves.
Well, all it took was a chocolate cake for me to find myself again – My daughter Michaela and her husband Alex told me they are expecting a baby in April!
I am going to be a GRANDMA, an ABUELA!
As soon as they told me I knew in my heart that my soul was ready for the next adventure, and I couldn’t be more excited.
I am leaving Costa Rica and returning to Canada 3 years older with an incredible vision for my next phase in life.
This vision is the same as it was 3 years ago – one of adventure, wonderment, excitement, trepidation, fear, hopefulness and personal growth.
And that adventure is twofold – the birth of a new human and the rebirth of an older one (me).
Exciting times ahead.
Hasta Luego Costa Rica y muchas gracias por todo.
Bienvenido Canada.
